Woman Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident in South L.A.

A woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in South Los Angeles Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of West 70th Street and South Broadway.

The driver of the vehicle paused briefly before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained severe head injuries and was transported to a local hospital. She is currently in critical condition.

A witness recalled the hit-and-run vehicle as a white Toyota Tacoma with a camper shell. The vehicle will have front-end damage from the accident.
